1. Introduction & Scope
Lecturehead is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) Learning Management System that enables independent creators, educators, coaches, training institutes, businesses, and organizations (“Creators”) to create and manage their own online academies, deliver courses, manage cohorts, and interact with their students.
The Platform is used by two primary categories of users: Creators, who subscribe to and manage their academies, and Students, who enroll in courses or programs offered by Creators.
Because of how our Platform operates, our role changes depending on the type of information being processed.
When you are a Creator
Lecturehead acts as the Data Controller for the personal information we collect about you, including your account information, subscription details, billing information, and communications.
When you are a Student
Lecturehead acts as a Data Processor on behalf of the Creator whose academy you use. The Creator determines what student information is collected, why it is collected, how it is used, and how long it is retained. Lecturehead processes Student information solely to provide and operate the Platform in accordance with the Creator's instructions.

When a Creator creates an account or uses the Platform, we may collect the following.
Account Information
- Full name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Password (stored securely in encrypted or hashed form)
- Profile photograph (optional)
Organization Information
- Business or academy name
- Company registration details (where applicable)
- Business address
- Tax or GST information (where applicable)
Billing Information
- Subscription plan
- Payment status
- Billing address
- Transaction records
Payment card information is processed by secure third-party payment providers. Lecturehead does not store complete payment card details.
Platform Usage Information
- Login timestamps
- Device information
- Browser type
- IP address
- Activity logs
- Feature usage analytics
Communications
When you contact support or communicate with us, we may collect emails, chat conversations, support tickets, feedback, and survey responses.
B. Information We Process from Students
Creators determine what student information is collected through their academies. This commonly includes the following.

Learning Information
- Course enrollments
- Lesson completion status
- Quiz scores
- Assignment submissions
- Certificates
- Cohort participation
- Discussion activity
Technical Information
- IP address

Lecturehead processes this information only to operate and maintain the Platform for the relevant Creator.
3. How We Use the Information
We use personal information to provide, maintain, improve, and secure our services.
For Creators, we use information to

We do not use Student information for our own advertising or marketing purposes.
4. Third-Party Services & Data Processors
To operate and improve the Platform, Lecturehead engages trusted third-party service providers who process information on our behalf under appropriate contractual and security obligations.

Cloud Infrastructure
We use Amazon Web Services (AWS) for application hosting, database hosting, file storage, video storage, backups, and infrastructure monitoring.
Video Storage & Delivery
Course videos and media files are securely stored and delivered using AWS cloud infrastructure and related content delivery services.
Email Delivery
We use trusted email delivery providers to send account verification emails, password reset emails, transactional emails, platform notifications, and support communications.
Payment Processing
Subscription payments are securely processed through trusted third-party payment providers including:
Payment information is transmitted directly to the applicable payment provider through secure encrypted connections. Lecturehead does not store complete debit card, credit card, or other payment instrument details on its own servers.
Analytics & Monitoring
We may use analytics, logging, and monitoring tools to monitor platform performance, detect and investigate security incidents, diagnose technical issues, and improve user experience.
Artificial Intelligence
Lecturehead does not currently use Artificial Intelligence (AI), Large Language Models (LLMs), or Generative AI systems to process customer content or personal information as part of the Platform.
If AI-powered functionality is introduced in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly before such features become available.
5. Data Ownership & Relationship
Lecturehead recognizes that Creators own the educational content they upload and control the student data collected through their academies. Accordingly:
- Creators remain the owners and controllers of their student information.
- Lecturehead processes Student information solely to provide the services requested by the Creator.
- Lecturehead does not acquire ownership of Student data.
- Lecturehead does not sell Student information.
- Lecturehead does not rent Student information.
- Lecturehead does not use Student information for unrelated commercial purposes.
- Lecturehead only shares Student information where necessary to operate the Platform, comply with applicable law, or with the Creator's authorization.
Students seeking information regarding how their data is collected or used should first contact the Creator operating the academy in which they are enrolled.
6. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Lecturehead may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to:
- Keep users signed in
- Remember preferences
- Maintain secure sessions
- Improve performance
- Analyze Platform usage
- Detect security issues
Users may configure their browser settings to refuse certain cookies. However, doing so may affect the functionality of the Platform.
7. Data Retention & Deletion
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to provide the Platform, fulfill contractual obligations, comply with legal requirements, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and maintain security.
Creator Data
Creator account information is retained while the account remains active. Following account closure, information may be retained for a reasonable period where required by law, accounting obligations, fraud prevention, or legitimate business purposes before secure deletion or anonymization.
Student Data
Student information is retained according to the Creator's instructions. When a Creator deletes student information or terminates their academy, Lecturehead will delete or anonymize the associated Student data within a commercially reasonable timeframe, unless retention is required by law.
Deletion Requests
Creators may request deletion of their personal information by contacting us. Students wishing to delete their information should first contact the Creator responsible for their academy. Where appropriate, Lecturehead will assist the Creator in fulfilling such requests.
8. International Data Transfers & Compliance
Lecturehead may provide services to users located in multiple countries. Personal information may therefore be processed or stored in countries other than the country in which the user resides.
Where cross-border transfers occur, Lecturehead implements appropriate contractual, organizational, and technical safeguards designed to protect personal information in accordance with applicable data protection laws. Depending on your location, these laws may include:
- General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
- UK GDPR
- Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India), where applicable
- California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), where applicable

Where Lecturehead acts as a Data Processor, requests relating to Student information should generally be directed to the relevant Creator.

Lecturehead is intended for educational institutions, businesses, educators, and adult users. Where a Creator provides educational services to minors, the Creator is responsible for obtaining any legally required parental or guardian consent before collecting or processing personal information. Lecturehead processes such information solely on behalf of the Creator.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our services, changes in applicable laws, new security practices, new features, or operational improvements.
When material changes are made, we will update the “Last Updated” date and, where required by law, provide additional notice through the Platform or by email.
Continued use of the Platform after the revised Privacy Policy becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
